Selecting an item to buy
If you have found an item that you would like to buy, click on its Buy button or click on its thumbnail picture to see more detail. In either case you will arrive at a page which include buttons like these:
If you wish to buy a single item, click the Buy One Now button. This
will take you straight to the PayPal checkout.
If you think you might want to buy more items, use the Add to Basket
button instead. Then you may add further items as you wish. You can view the
items in your basket at any time by clicking the View Basket button which
appears in the bar to the left of each page. You have the option to proceed to
the checkout whenever you add an item to your basket, or when you view your basket.
Procedure for Paying
Online payment is carried out though PayPal's secure payment system. A brief description follows.
If you don't have a PayPal account
If you don't have a PayPal account, you may be required to open one. PayPal are currently introducing a scheme whereby you do not need to open an account in order to pay, depending on your nationality, so the exact procedure is liable to change. Either way, you will be asked for the following information:
- Your name and credit card details.
- Your postal address. (This is needed for delivery!)
- Your telephone number. (PayPal uses this for verification purposes only)
- Your email address. (So you can be sent a receipt)
Then you will be required (or given the option) to supply a password for your
new PayPal account. You also have the option to include a message which will
be passed on to us (Sally Silk Art) when we receive your order.
You will be given the chance to review the information you have given before
submitting your payment. See below: What Happens Next.
If you already have a PayPal account ...
... the procedure is even simpler. When you checkout, you will be prompted to supply your PayPal username and password, then you will be asked to check details of this purchase before submitting payment. You will have the opportunity to include a message which will be passed on to us (Sally Silk Art) when we receive your order.
What Happens Next
Once you have made a payment, you will be sent an email as a receipt. You may then expect prompt delivery of your order. For larger orders or orders where items have been specially commissioned, delivery may be delayed slightly. If this is the case, you will receive an email from Sally Silk Art with the estimated time of delivery, and you will have the option of a full refund should this small delay be inconvenient.
